Why do I suspect that if a Democratic governor had pushed this through, the same commentators would be denouncing it as another example of the government thinking it knows how to spend our money better than we do?
I mean there’s a reason all those young healthy 30-somethings are forgoing insurance in favor of a new Lexus. The question is, should they be allowed to spend their money as they see fit? Or should they be forced to buy insurance they don’t want just to broaden the pool and lower the cost for sick people?
For the record, I’m with Mitt on this one.
