Murtha’s Anti-War Role Could Imperil Him at Home by Robert Novak
HUMAN EVENTS ONLINE – Murtha’s Anti-War Role Could Imperil Him at Home by Robert Novak:
Rep. John Murtha (D.-Pa.) appears to be suffering “Daschle-itis,” a figurative disease which makes entrenched incumbents become national celebrities and, in the process, risk alienating the voters that put them in office.

I think Diana Irey is going to defeat the Murtha soundly. He has stepped beyond simple disagreement over policy to the celebration of the rhetoric of our enemies and has cast dispersions on our brave soldiers. He should find no protection in his service in Vietnam no more than Benedict Arnold (a decorated revolutionary veteran) found when he committed treason.
