Salt Lake Tribune – Deseret Book to stop supplying rival
Salt Lake Tribune – Deseret Book to stop supplying rival:
Deseret Book, the well-known religious retailer and publisher owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is refusing to allow competitor Seagull Book & Tape, which is privately owned, to carry works written by about 140 influental LDS authors.

Is there something wrong with this decision?
Does Wal*Mart.com, the biggest seller of Church titled books display posters and comply with Deseret’s marketing policies? No.
I purchase LDS titles from Deseret Book,Seagul Books and wal*mart.com and am deplored by Deseret’s decision. I am glad I have a library of books stored up as I no longer wish to purchase from deseret Book as it seems very soon we will not be able to purchase anything except from the deseret monopoly. So sad.
