Google Giving Microsoft Competition

Google on the pre-installed on Dell desktops and instant messaging to be added to Gmail…looks to me like Google is aggressively going after Microsoft market share.
Good for Google! Consumers benefit from healthy competition. It’s about time someone gave Microsoft a serious run for their money. Microsoft is behind the curve when it comes to the internet, so they have created a new divsion to focus their company into an internet-centric business.

Google puts instant message service inside e-mailSAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Google Inc. users will be able to conduct instant message chats from a Google Web browser window, alongside their e-mails, instead of requiring a separate application, the company said late Monday.
