UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and British Prime Minister Tony Blair want to send an international force to separate Israel from Hizballah terrorists in Lebanon. Mr. Blair said a UN force should be sent to, “…stop the bombardment coming over into Israel and therefore gives Israel a reason to stop its attacks on Hezbollah.” Kofi Annan said such a force could, “…pursue the idea of stabilization.” But their idea assumes first, that a cease-fire would protect those worthy of protection, and second that restoring the region’s ante bellum “stability” would promote long-term peace.     Kofi is a Schmuck, and an imcompetent one at that. As I recall, he was in charge of the Rwanda debacle befor he became Secretary General.

    As far as buffer troops….what are they going to do when the savages fire their rockets? Send Senator Voinovich over there to weep them into stopping?

    Israel, should wipe the savages out, the US should rebuild the Lebanese Army into what it was, but with the strength to KEEP the savages out once Israel destroys them.

    A few hundred Jericho II rockets on certain targets in Tehran would be quite helpfull as well.
