Documentary on militant Islam

“Say Anything,” has posted a video documentary about the dangers posed by radical Islamic jihadists, or militant Islam.

The documentary contains actual video from Arab television networks that show how this radical element has become an increasingly mainstream voice in Arab media, and how they have painted the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom as the enemies of the Arab world.

This is a must see video clip, to understand the threat posed to the civilized world. You should take the time to watch this documentary, for if we do not understand what it is that we are fighting in the war on terrorism then how can we muster the will and determination to prevail in victory?

  1. and how is an ideology countered? Through force? Does violence stop ideologies? How can introducing violence in the Middle East actually stop the violence these people want to bring to our allies, when it is our violence that feeds their propaganda?

Why can’t America learn from the Indians who recently had a horrific terrorist attack on their soil by terrorists with ties to Pakistan. India does not go fighting Pakistan. Why not?

Our strivings for peace are more powerful than any daisy cutter we could ever drop on any building.

  2. Through force? At times, sure, as in WWII againts fascism.

Though violence cannot stop ideologies per se, it can stop those who use violence to inforce or spread ideologies.

India and Pakistan are in a Cold-War, and it could be a Hot-War in the future.

I’m all for peace, but like Captain Moroni, will fight to the bitter end the enemies of freedom.

  3. But violence cannot stop those who use violence if our own use of violence spurs more people to violence. Don’t you get it? Porter Goss said it best about Iraq:

“Islamic extremists are exploiting the Iraqi conflict to recruit new anti-U.S. jihadists,” CIA Director Porter J. Goss told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

  4. “War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”
    — John Stuart Mill

  5. Johnny Running Water (lds)

Those who cannot bring themselves to use violence against their fellow man when militant Islam is nipping at his heels to take away his Christain way of life, will soon find themselves stacked along side the road like firewood. WILL THE LAST MAN STANDING PLEASE BRING THE FLAG!

  6. Johnny,

Not if the Lord is protecting me, unless you don’t trust that the Lord will protect your life…..that’s your own problem.

  7. Dan, you can be a warrior and still trust God, e.g., Nephi, Jacob, Alam, Helaman, Captain Moroni, stripling warriors, Bush, to name a few.

  8. I agree with all on your list except Bush. Serving in the national guard is not being a warrior, especially during actual wartime. Now, had he actually gone over to Vietnam like many others, then I’d begrudgingly agree he was a warrior. It does a great disservice to actual modern warriors to claim Bush is a warrior.

  9. Commander in Chief is the Nations highest ranking warrior, i.e., Bush by default is a warrior … it’s the War on Terror he is leading … not the non-War on Terror … come on, readhatman, can’t you give Bush any credit at all?

  10. but the Commander in Chief is a civilian post, and therefore not a military position, ergo, not a warrior.

no, there is nothing i can give Bush credit for. He is ruining this country. At this moment he is blackmailing America. Either we give him his laws to protect CIA from prosecution for violations of the law they already committed, or he will release terrorists back into the world, and he threatens to put this on the head of Congressmen! The gall of this man! No, there is nothing I give him credit for.
