Donated toys ease pain of hospital visit for children

… The clinic, which provides follow-up treatments including wound care and lab draws, hands out toys to ease memories of the sometimes-painful procedures. The clinic recently got a major windfall: The San Antonio East Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints collected more than 800 toys for the clinic to hand out to its patients.

The San Antonio East Stake is comprised of eight congregations in Northeast San Antonio and the surrounding area. Chappell belongs to the Stake Relief Society, the women’s service organization that held the toy drive this spring.
